StephanieSimacek

Vote by November 3

District 2 elects two state representatives this year. Stephanie Simacek holds one of those seats. These dates come from the Arizona Secretary of State and the Citizens Clean Elections Commission.

  1. Registration closes at 11:59 p.m.

Last day to register or update your address for this election. Registering online takes an Arizona driver license or state ID.

  2. Early voting begins

Maricopa County starts mailing ballots to the Active Early Voting List and to voters who asked for one.

  3. Last day to request a mail ballot

This is also the last day to join the Active Early Voting List for this election.

  4. Mail your ballot back

After this date, use a drop box or a voting location instead. Ballots have to arrive by 7 p.m. on Election Day.

  5. In-person early voting ends at 7 p.m.

Emergency early voting is available after that until Monday, November 2, at 5 p.m.

  6. Election Day

Polls are open 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Bring ID. You can vote for up to two House candidates.

If you live in District 2

The district is entirely in Maricopa County: Anthem, Cave Creek, Carefree, New River, north Phoenix, and a corner of far-north Glendale. If you have moved since you last voted, update your address before October 5 so you get the right ballot. The map page shows the communities.

What to bring

A driver license or state ID with your current address is enough by itself. If the address on your ID is out of date, bring a second document with your current address, such as a utility bill or bank statement. The county recorder lists every accepted document.

Before you vote for state House

Simacek’s first two sessions are public. She voted no on border funding and immigration bills, co-sponsored new income-tax rates, and voted no on keeping child sex offenders on lifetime probation. The bill links are on the issues page.
