District 2
The north end of the Valley, all in Maricopa County. It leans Republican, and in 2024 the second House seat came down to 988 votes.

- Anthem
- The district’s largest planned community, with many retired and military households. Simacek did not vote on a tuition waiver for children of disabled veterans.
- Cave Creek
- A foothills town on the east side of the district, built on small businesses and open desert.
- Carefree
- Next to Cave Creek, on the same legislative ballot as Anthem and north Phoenix.
- New River
- Unincorporated land north of Anthem, with horse property and large lots.
- North Phoenix
- Deer Valley and the I-17 corridor. Simacek served on the Deer Valley Unified governing board.
- Adobe Mountain
- The far-north edge of Glendale, including the Adobe Mountain and Desert View area.
Who represents District 2
House members serve two-year terms. Simacek and Justin Wilmeth hold the two House seats, and Shawnna Bolick holds the Senate seat. The current lines came out of the 2021-22 independent redistricting and were first used in 2022.
In 2024 the House candidates were Simacek, Wilmeth, Ari Bradshaw, and independent Tom Simes. Simacek’s certified total was 47,797 and Bradshaw’s was 46,809. The questions about where she lived that fall are on the about page.
